September 21.
Pleasant. It really seemed wicked to carry such a heavy head on such a bright morning but the children were very annoying and I got nervous and felt as if a good crying spell would do me good but I would not indulge myself. Went home at night tired almost to death. Our Association meets today in Springfield. I wonder if Paulina has gone, wish I could go. Mr. and Mrs. Horner + baby were at Mr. Palmer’s this eve. Mr. H. had his violin so we had some music. Mrs. P. is about sick with a cold.
