Pleasant. Mother did not go to church. The rest of us did. Mr. H. preached as usual. Paulina is 14 years old today, the dear child, may she ever be as happy and free from trouble as she is today. Frank was at church but not one word or look did he condescend to give me. I cannot understand him. We did not any of us go in the eve and watched and cried but all in vain. Sent a letter to Ellen today.
