Pleasant and very warm. All attended church. Mr. Humphrey preached from Mal. 3rd 16th this forenoon and Rev. 3rd 20th this afternoon. My corner friend very condescendingly sent word by Silas’ that “he hardly thought he could come down tonight” so we all went to meeting and there I saw the gentleman but not to speak to him. I declare I think it is really insulting. I shall begin to believe what Nell told me pretty soon.
