August 4.
Cloudy. I did not do much of anything. Wm. has gone home to help his father the rest of this week and John started a little afternoon to go over to see Mr. Felton’s folks. I was surprised this forenoon to see Mrs. Kellogg and Mrs. Smith drive into the yard. I was glad to see them but supposed Mrs. S had left Loomis Street and didn’t think Mrs. Kellogg ever intended to come. They staid all night and after tea Mrs. Kellogg and I went to the Corner to get some medicine for her father. William was here in the evening.
