July 16.
Very warm. I fussed around all day–ironed my muslin dress the first thing in the morning and then done various other things besides fooling considerable with Lottie. This afternoon we sat in the front door busying ourselves in mischief to send to Chicopee. Frankie was kiting around as hateful as ever. Went down to Mrs. Carpenter’s in the eve. Lot and I slept on the floor and laughed just as long as I could.
